Terms & Conditions Mike’s Luxury Events

1 Reservations

1.2 Booking Confirmation

Mike’s Luxury Events will confirm your reservation by email.

1.3 Prepayment Requirement

A reservation is only considered valid once prepayment has been received. Any booking without prepayment will be treated as invalid.

1.4 Vehicle Availability

For sedan and minivan bookings:

  • For reservations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up, we guarantee the availability of a vehicle with a driver for pick-ups in Amsterdam or at AMS Schiphol Airport.
  • Reservations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pick-up will be handled on a best-effort basis. If no vehicle is available, the booking will be cancelled and refunded.
  • If the requested vehicle type is unavailable, we will contact you to propose an alternative. If we cannot reach you, transportation will be provided using the alternative vehicle.

1.5 Reservation Changes

For sedans and minivans:

  • Changes made 7 days or more before the scheduled pick-up are free of charge.
  • Changes made within 7 days may incur additional fees.

For the Maybach, midi buses, and coaches:

  • Changes made 23 days or more before the scheduled pick-up are free of charge.
  • Changes made within 23 days may incur additional fees.

2 Liability

2.1 Client Responsibility

The tenant is responsible for themselves and all accompanying passengers.

2.2 Vehicle Damage

Any damage caused by passengers will be charged to the tenant.

2.3 Smoking and Drug Use

Smoking and drug use are strictly prohibited in all vehicles.

2.4 Food and Beverages

Personal food and beverages may not be consumed inside the vehicles.

2.5 Cleaning Fees

If a passenger becomes ill and causes damage, a minimum cleaning fee of €250 will be charged, plus any applicable loss-of-income costs depending on the vehicle type.

3 Arrival Instructions

3.1 Airport Pick-up

Upon arrival, please ensure your mobile phone is switched on. Our chauffeur will send a text message with meeting point details.

3.2 Contact Information

If you cannot locate your chauffeur and cannot reach them by phone, please contact Mike’s Luxury Events immediately.

3.3 Flight Delays

Please notify us of any flight delays. Delays of up to 5 hours incur no additional cost. Delays exceeding 5 hours will incur a minimum fee of €75.

3.4 Flight Changes

Any changes to your flight number or date must be communicated immediately. Changes or cancellations made within 48 hours of the original departure date are non-refundable.

4 Transfers

4.1 Service Area

Our rates apply only to transfers with pick-up or drop-off locations in Amsterdam or AMS Schiphol Airport.

4.2 Additional Charges

Bookings with pick-up or drop-off locations outside Amsterdam or AMS Schiphol Airport will incur additional charges for extra distance and travel time.

4.3 Additional Stops

Additional stops during a transfer cost a minimum of €50, depending on the vehicle and duration of the stop.

  1. Waiting Time

5.1 Airport Pick-ups

For international and European flights, we provide 70 minutes of free waiting time after landing. After this period, a minimum fee of €50 will apply, depending on the total waiting time.

5.2 City Transfers

For city or airport transfers, we provide 15 minutes of free waiting time after the scheduled departure time. After this period, a minimum fee of €30 will apply.

6 Hourly / As Directed Service

6.1 Minimum Duration

The minimum booking duration is 3 hours, calculated from our Amsterdam garage and back.

6.2 Kilometer Allowance

Each service hour includes 30 kilometers free of charge. Additional kilometers will be billed based on the selected vehicle.

6.3 Return Charges

If the service ends outside Amsterdam or AMS Schiphol Airport, extra kilometers and travel time to return to Amsterdam will be charged.

7 Force Majeure

7.1 Unforeseeable Circumstances

Mike’s Luxury Events is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by force majeure, including accidents, traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns, police checks, terrorism, severe weather, system malfunctions, and similar events.

7.2 Subcontractors

We are not responsible for errors made by subcontractors.

7.3 Non-refundable Costs

Costs resulting from cancellations due to force majeure are non-refundable.

8 Lost Property

Mike’s Luxury Events is not responsible for items left behind in the vehicles.

9 Cancellations

9.1 Maybach, Midi Buses, and Coaches

  • 23+ days before pick-up: No cancellation fee
  • 14–23 days before pick-up: 50% fee
  • 3–14 days before pick-up: 75% fee
  • Within 3 days: 100% fee

9.2 Non-refundable Items

Entrance tickets or other pre-purchased items cannot be refunded.

9.3 Driver Expenses

Pre-booked driver overnight stays are non-refundable.

9.4 Cancellation Notification

A cancellation is valid only once received by email.

9.5 Company Cancellations

Mike’s Luxury Events may cancel a reservation due to system errors or force majeure. Paid reservations will be refunded up to the amount paid.

9.6 Handling Fee

Refunds are subject to a 3% handling fee.

10 No Show Policy

10.1 No Show Charges

In the event of a No Show, 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

10.2 Airport Pick-up No Show

A no-show fee applies 15 minutes after baggage handling if the passenger is not present at the arrival hall/gate.

10.3 City Transfer No Show

A no-show fee applies 30 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time if the passenger is not at the pick-up address.

11 Discount Codes

11.1 Validity

Discount codes are valid only for the specific service approved by Mike’s Luxury Events.

11.2 Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to cancel bookings in cases of suspected fraud.

12 Vehicles

12.1 Vehicle Monitoring

All vehicles are continuously monitored to minimize the risk of breakdowns.

12.2 Breakdown Procedures

If a breakdown occurs and the vehicle cannot continue, we will arrange a replacement vehicle or compensate the tenant for the unused portion of the ride.

12.3 Vehicle Standards

We aim to provide Mercedes vehicles. If unavailable, an equivalent vehicle will be supplied.

13 Rates

13.1 Included Services

Rates include all local taxes, meet & greet airport service with nameplate, onboard Wi-Fi, and bottled water. Rates exclude 9% VAT.

13.2 Excluded Costs

We do not charge administration fees, airport/city parking fees, fuel surcharges, gratuities, or state sales taxes.

13.3 Parking Costs

Parking fees may apply for Mercedes Sprinter buses and touring coaches.

13.4 Driver Expenses

Driver meals and overnight expenses are not included. Meal fees apply only for bookings of 8 hours or more.

13.5 Night Surcharge

A 15% night surcharge applies between 10:00 PM and 06:00 AM.

14.1 Payment Methods

We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and iDEAL payments.

14.2 Bank Transfer

Bank transfers must cover the full amount without shared bank fees.

14.3 Additional Fees

Credit card payments incur a 3–4% fee, depending on the issuing country.

15 On-Time Guarantee

15.1 Guarantee

We guarantee 100% on-time pick-up.

15.2 Exceptions

This guarantee does not apply in cases of:

  • Force majeure (see Article 7)
  • Bookings made by partners for midi buses or coaches

16 Privacy

Mike’s Luxury Events complies with GDPR regulations and processes only the data necessary to deliver our services. We handle your information responsibly and never sell it to third parties.

All texts and photos on our website are protected. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited and may result in legal action.
